Ruby's Realm Productions Presents the Stage Play

You Reap What You Sow

Karma has its way of watching, waiting until the right time then when you least expect it strikes without warning and Ruby and Buzy, who have been best friends for 70 years, have seen it all living on 327 Pearl Street. They know what goes around comes around first hand. They laugh at John who thought he was safe and life was good, but the path of destruction that he lay behind him was ready to unfold right before his eyes. They watch his wife Liz stands right beside him through everything until she learned she couldn’t stand any more. They’ve heard too many times Katie say “I won’t eat everybody’s food” but she’ll sleep with anybody’s man as Mabel tried to figure out her way through what is gossip and what are truths. Everyone garden is full of weed and the time has come to harvest and Reap What You Sow.

Jazz For A Cause at Trinity-on-Main to benefit The Ana Grace Project

Each fall, the Hall High School Concert Jazz Band chooses a foundation to support for the annual "Jazz for a Cause" benefit event at Trinity-on-Main, in New Britain, CT.  They perform along with the Hall High School Jazz Band, as well as the Jazz Bands of King Philip and Bristow Middle Schools.  On behalf all bands performing, we are excited to announce that this year’s concert, on Sunday, November 6th (7 to 8:30pm) will benefit the wonderful Ana Grace Project.

The Ana Grace Project was created by Grammy-nominated saxophonist Jimmy Greene (a Hartford native) and his wife Nelba Márquez in response to the tragedy that took Ana’s life in Sandy Hook, CT on 12/14/12.  “The Ana Grace Project" aims to help children and their families by developing self-esteem through enrichment activities--especially through music. Through their generous services, “The Ana Grace Project" is able to help countless individuals and their families live by their slogan "Love wins. And it saves lives."

So how can you help? Please join us, Sunday, November 6 at 7pm and remember “Love wins. And it also saves lives.” Cash contributions at door support the efforts of the Ana Grace Project.  If you are unable to join us for the concert, you can contribute directly to the Ana Grace Project at http://anagraceproject.org/can-help/donate/

The CT Lyric Opera & The CT Virtuosi Present Eugene Onegin

Eugene Onegin is an 1879 operatic masterpiece of Russia’s foremost composer, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and one of the best exaxmples of lyric opera. The story concerns a selfish hero (Onegin) who lives to regret his blasé rejection of a young woman's love, and his careless incitement of a fatal duel with his best friend.

Eugene Onegin (Russian: Евгений Онегин, Yevgény Onégin), Op. 24, is an opera ("lyrical scenes") in 3 acts (7 scenes). The libretto, organised by the composer and Konstantin Shilovsky, very closely follows certain passages in Alexander Pushkin's novel in verse, retaining much of his poetry.

Connecticut Lyric Opera and the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra present a fully staged production with full orchestra. Sung in Russian with projected English supertitles.

Tickets: $25 regular, $20 senior, $12 student
